Under the hood of a fuel cell vehicle
Power control unit of Toyota FCHV (fuel cell hybrid vehicle) car. The unit regulates fuel cell output as well as battery charging and discharging depending on the driving conditions. The Toyota FCHV is build upon the Highlander SUV and uses hydrogen fuel cell to generate electricity for driving the electric motor.
