The cart is loaded with sheaves of a cereal crop, being kept in place by one of the men with a pitchfork. The Luttrell Psalter is an illuminated manuscript that was produced in East Anglia, England, and dates from around the period 1325-1335. The text is in Latin, while the marginal illustrations show saints, Bible stories and everyday rural life.
