A parade mace (Topuz), Ottoman, 2nd half of the 17th century Segmented striking iron head, exterior covered with niello/silver. There is a gilded, ornamental button in relief at the peak. Slightly conical, wooden shaft with floral embossed, engraved, and gilded, niello/silver mountings. The middle section is covered with sewn shagreen leather. Length cm. See a very similar mace in Z.
