The best picture of what the change meantis given by the two maps ^ printed opposite. In No. III. themeadow, save for a small piece used exclusively by AllSouls, is common, each tenant presumably being allowed toplace so many beasts upon it. In No. IV. the meadow hasbeen divided up among the tenants, and instead of pasturinga limited number of beasts on the whole of it, each canpasture as many beasts as he pleases on part of it.
