Boa constrictor snake (Boa constrictor). A boa constrictor seizes its prey with its sharp, backward-pointing teeth. The prey is killed by constriction and swallowed whole. This snake is found all over tropical South America. It is a ground dweller and is prevalent in mountain forests. Usually 3-4 metres in length, it will weigh about 60 kilograms.
