Abingdon, England - 18 November 2019; Abingdon claims to be the oldest town in England. And this is the view down the Thames towards its classy marina, lined with moored boats - and parked cars. In the distance, you can see one of the remaining chimneys of Didcot Power Station, though most of the site - including its once-iconic cooling towers - have now been demolished. The early sun glitters on the swollen waters, as the water level of the river has risen substantially after weeks of rain.
