A distant view of Corsewall (originally Corsill) Lighthouse at Corsewall Point on the Rhins of Galloway, Kirkcolm near Stranraer , Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland as seen from from it's approach road overlooking the Irish Corsewall Lighthouse was first lit in 1817. Though still active, it is now automated, the rest of the building is used as a hotel. (Photo taken June 2021). It was built in 1815 by the engineer Kirkman Finley who was reputedly Grandfather of British lighthouse builder Robert Stevenson who notably designed and constructed the famous Bell Rock Lighthouse.
