The figures quoted in the table for carbohydrate include crudefiber, which was not determined in every case. Analyses have shown,however, that this ingredient is present to the extent of about cent, comparing favorably with the content of fiber in the otherfresh fruits. It is of decided interest to note that the mineral matter in theavocado is much greater than that found in any fresh fruit. Justhow much importance can be attached to this fact can better be stated.
