Mambi, an old headhunter and cannibal; a man of the Lake Ymis area of the Upper Sepik region of Papua New Guinea. In his lifetime he is known to have killed and eaten 8 people. He was photographed at Karawari Lodge, where before he died, he used to perform playing bamboo flute and dancing for tourists. The shell ornament he is wearing on his chest is drilled with holes representing each of his kills.
