FORT DRUM, – Two UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters from the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade transports two M119A2 Howitzers to a landing zone during an air assault artillery raid here June 9. The raid, which was conducted in conjunction with Soldiers from Alpha Troop, 1st Battalion, 258th Field Artillery Regiment, 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, involved transporting the 4 howitzers to a landing zone then utilizing them to engage a simulated enemy target.
