The Punta Burica, at the Colombian frontier, belongs to the same line of promontories, which is continued south of the province of Panama by the island of Coiba, the large peninsula of Azuero and the Pearl Islands. These chains and detached insular or peninsular masses describe collectively a regular curve of about 550 miles, which is perfectly concentric with the curve.
