This places the species closer to Submortoniceraswoodsi, and Young (1963: 92) did, indeed, refer to this species (together withWoodss specimen of Mortoniceras soutoni (1906, pi. 43 (fig. 1)) and T. roemerias being *close to the Submortoniceras-Texanites taxonomic boundary (Young
