Historic home in the village of Elsah, Illinois.
The Village of Elsah, a historic Mississippi River town founded in 1853, is "the town that time forgot." The entire town is on the National Register of Historic Places because most of the mid-19th century homes remain intact and is a stop on the Meeting of the Great Rivers National Scenic Byway. The buggy shop was built in 1877 and the lettering reads "Wagons and Buggies Made and Repaired."
