A First World War era grouip of British army soldiers, a section of Regimental Police in an infantry regiment, taken in Ranikhet Hill Station, India, 1916. The soldier second from the right in the back row is named Dick Matthews. They have brassards for RP for privates, RPC for the Corporal, and RPS for the Sargent. The officers do not have brassards. The Sargent, seated third from the right has a crossed rifles badge on his lower left arm signifying he is a marksman.
