He used aquatic plants to fill the rest of the surface. During this period, the belief prevailed that animal and vegetable forms were based on an aesthetically responsible decoration. That is why Dijsselhof also took (just as after Him Jessurun would do the Mesquita with Escher), students to the Amsterdam zoo (Artis).
