Breast surgery. Image 5 of 5. 54-year-old woman's breasts 14 days after a breast reduction operation (reduction mammoplasty). Excess breast tissue was removed, resulting in smaller, more symmetrical breasts. Some bruising and scarring is still present. The sutures around the breasts and nipples have been taped up to aid healing. The patient had a total of kilograms of breast tissue removed and went from a G cup size (left breast) and an F cup size (right breast) to a DD cup size. See M590/294 for the breasts before surgery.
