The continuation classes are grouped in four divisions—(i)— EveningPreparatory classes for the completion of general elementary ciassleducation; (ii.)—Classes for specialized instruction (elemen-tary); (iii.)—Glasses for specialized instruction (advanced);ana (iv.)—Auxiliary classes. There are ten central institu-tions wUich give advanced technical education in technology,or agriculture, or art. These institutions have made ehorts topopularize the continuation classes, and to arrange the coursesin them, so that they may lead up appropriately to their ownwork. Ihus every encouragement is given to Scotch lads whoare determined to improve tnemselves, even tliough they shouldbe forced to
