LISELOTTE RAUNER SCHOOL, BOCHUM, 44701, GERMANY, ARCHITECT CHRISTIAN RICHTERS, The new built extension forms with the existing building and the to a garden shed converted former sports hall an ensemble. It enhances its street block development yet also defines itself as a clearly recognisable unit. The hallways function as traffic areas of communication play learning and whereabouts and arrange themselves around the inner courtyard enhanced by conservatories. Cafeteria auditorium and entrance hall are flexible units. The forum is used as a multifunctional recreation- performance- or dance hall. The compact consolidation of buildings creates a bright and well defined schoolyard and a vast schoolgarden opening to the south with its array of precious trees.
