S. receiving-ship Potomac,1S74-75 ; served on theU. S. monitor Dictator, NorthAtlantic Squadron, for eighteen months, from June,1875; had charge of quarantine measures to protectU. S. vessels-of-war in Port Royal waters from yellowfever, during an epidemic in the vicinity ; commander-in-chief of station officially commended services to NavyDepartment, under date of September 29, 1876; on dutyin Washington, 1877-78, as member of Examining Boardfor admission and promotion of medical officers.
