The entrance to Borough Market and what remains of the late Victorian glass and cast iron construction contrasts against the glass and steel of The Shard. What remains of the main building of the late Victorian Borough Market, which somewhat resembled in style many of the then fashionable and modern glass and ironwork buildings in London in the late 19th Century, is now overlooked by the new, new, of metal and glass architecture of the 21st Century.
