He hasbeen treasurer of his native town formany years. U 5 |M| -yy*u. On May 9th a gala occasion wascelebrated in a Senior dance. Theclass colors of the Class of 1914, pur-ple and gold, were the principalfeature (laying aside the young la-dies). At one end of the hall was alarge electric sign bearing the classnumerals—1914. The dance wasone of the most successful held dur-ing the entire year. The committeein charge consisted of Messrs. Youngand Coleman, and many thanks aredue Slip Miller for his assistancegiven the committee. During the early part of themonth an interesting lecture wasgiven by Mr. Morrison, Secretaryof the Essex County Y. M. C. A.,who talked on the great work whichthe Y. M. C. A. has done for theAmerican and foreign young McKinley of Andover told usabout the way in which the studentsat Andover worked amongst the poorof Lawrence. Mr. Moorehead, alsoof Andover, told us about his actualexperience in the work amongst themill workers of Lawrence. On Saturday evening, May 16, abanquet was given in honor of theSenior Class.
