A statue of Ronda’s born famous bullfighter, Cayetano Ordonez y Aguilera (January 24, 1904, Ronda, Spain - October 30, 1961, Madrid, Spain). He is the patriarch of the Ordóñez family of bullfighters. His statue stands outside the Bullring of the Royal Cavalry of Ronda. It is supposed to be the birthplace of the Spanish bullfighting tradition and has the oldest bullring in Spain, built in 1785. Ronda, a small Spanish whitewashed medieval town of mostly Moorish, architecture in the province of central Andalusia in southern Spain. The town stretches along the high limestone cliffs , and is connected by a bridge, (Puente Nuevo) over the El Tajo gorge, in which the Guadalevín rivers runs some 120 m below. Ronda, a very touristy town.
