FORT BENNING, Ga. (Sept. 13, 2018) – Maj. Gen. Gary M. Brito, the commanding general of the Maneuver Center of Excellence, speaks at a memorial rededication ceremony. The National Infantry Museum at Columbus, Georgia, held the inaugural rededication of its Global War on Terrorism Memorial Sept. 8. This rededication meets the promise made in 2017 that for each year the Global War on Terror continues, new names will be added to the memorial so that no Soldier’s sacrifice will ever be forgotten. Each year the ceremony is scheduled to take place the first Saturday after Labor Day.
