Anyone who’s ever visited Modoc County California knows that you haven’t fully immersed yourself in the experience if your vehicle doesn’t have some fertilizer on it when you leave. This is especially true in the Jess Valley area near the community of Likely. On this particular mid-June trip there were cattle everywhere necessitating the need to drive very slowly on some of the country roads. There were also scores of young calves. This little guy clearly got his father’s looks.
