ThoughSir Andrew Lauder sorely missed the companionship of his only son, who hadjust entered his twenty-fourth year at the time of his marriage, still the inter-course between the families was so constant and so friendly that he soon foundnew life and new interests springing up within the circle of Relugas. He lived tosee three infant daughters come like sunbeams to gladden his sons home, andeach of them return to the angel-land ere a son was born to inherit the name of 3IO THE BARONETS OF FOUXTAINHALL Lauder. Then came three more little daughters and another son before SirAndrew Lauder-Dick, in his eighty-fifth year, resigned his lands and his title toSir Thomas.
