Pristerognathoides, with six described species, has a dental formula 16, Ci, PC5-6; the postcanines small, weak, and well spaced and the lateral edge of the squamosal is not everted. Therioides is monotypic and known only from a single skull with some of the postcranial skeleton. Dental formula 16, Ci, PC 6; the postcanines are small and slender and well spaced.
