New York police removing the gunned down body of New York Gangster Vincent 'Mad Dog' Coll killed in a telephone box. His Irish name was Uinseann Ó Colla, (1908 –1932) , The Irish-American mobster hitman was born in Gweedore, an Irish-speaking region of County Donegal. As a 12 year old he was sent to reform school. In later years he joined the Gophers street gang. Coll became notorious in the 1920s & early 1930s in New York City after the alleged accidental killing of a young child during a mob kidnap attempt. His death matched his lifestyle. He was gunned down in a glass telephone booth.
