Abingdon claims to be the oldest town in England. And the Thames runs through the heart of it. Here we see a colourful houseboat moored on the north bank of the river, adjoining Abbey Fields. Behind are two unusual barges carrying paraphernalia and tents for a funfair being set up on the other side of the river.
