It is a rich food, and is unsurpassed for forming flesh. Like clover, it improves the soil by drawing its nitrogen from the air. (Panicum Ger- manicum.) A dwarf annual Millet. A variety growing from three to four feet high, having rather broad blades and strong stalks.
