Senior Airman Chase Floyd, 96th Security Forces Squadron, holds the guidon as Lightning Flight Airmen raise the American flag March 19 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Lightning Flight members and three other flights are in their fourth week of five of Airman Leadership School. ALS attendance is a mandatory step in becoming an Air Force non-commissioned officer. More than 300 Airmen complete the course at Eglin each year.
