SAGAMI WAN, Japan (Jan. 23, 2023) Seaman Gerardo Cassiolopez, from Las Vegas, Nevada, and Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Joshua Nesbit, from Charlotte, North Carolina, safely secure the rig at completion of helicopter in-flight refueling (HIFR) aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Howard (DDG 83). Howard is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
