Historical x-ray of seahorses (Hippocampus sp.). The ones that look hollow have been dead for while and are dried out. The others are newly dead, and some internal organs can be seen. The seaweed around the seahorses is serrated wrack (Fucus serratus) at left and bladder wrack (Fucus vesiculosus) at right. This x-ray was made by E. C. le Grice, and was published in London Illustrated News on 12th August 1933.
