Culzean Castle,Ayrshire, Scotland, UK . Apr 2017. During excavation of the Fountain Court at the front of the castle to lay new drainage, the walls of an old walled garden were discovered. the significant find of an 18th-century walled garden buried below the Fountain Court in front of the castle. It pre-dates the extensive world-renowned architectural reworking of the castle by Robert Adam over 15 years from 1777.
