Several years ago I beganto include the round ligament inmy pedicle ligature when remov-ing the tubes and ovaries, whenthe case was complicated by retro-version, and found that it actedwell in holding up the year I began to do the newoperation and have now perfected it,and am willing to recommend it as asafer and better procedure than anyother for the cure of such cases. The sutures should not be made to. include too much of the tissues, so asto avoid injuring the uterus or bladder. Use of Pessaries. Dr. Wallace A. Briggs, in a paperread before the Sacramento Society forMedical Improvement, says that pes-saries must always be regarded as foreignbodies and their irritating qualitiesreduced to a minimum.
