City of Aberdeen, Scotland. The Alan Beattie Herriot bronze equestrian statue of King Robert the Bruce holding a charter. The south elevation of Marischal College and Museum is in the background. Although still partially utilised by Aberdeen University, the 19th century Marischal College has been leased to Aberdeen City Council and is now being utilised as the council headquarters. The building is claimed to be the second largest granite structure in the world.
