ROTA, Spain (Dec. 8, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Javon Kegler, from Orlando, Fla., performs maintenance on NULKA equipment on the guided-missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87). Kegler works as a cryptologic technician and is responsible for maintaining and operating equipment to defend against inbound threats. Mason, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
