Late Roman pointed, yellow-green glass, blown, amphora. Glass wire decoration around mouth, neck and two ears of blue-green glass. The belly is provided with vague ridges. A particularly striking parallel is an amphora found in a 4th century tomb in Beit Fajjar (about 25 km tz of Jerusalem) in July 1934 (now on display in the Palestine Archeological Museum). See Husseini etc. All the essential characteristics of our piece also occur at the Jerusalem copy.
