This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Terra Cimmeria. Mars Express satellite image of the heavily cratered region of Terra Cimmeria. This is the only area in Mars' southern hemisphere where Mars Express detected unique aurorae (not seen in this image), similar to Earth's Northern Lights, for the first time on the southern hemisphere. Data for this image were obtained by the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) on ESA's Mars Express.
