Darrell Canady, executive officer of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima, and members of the multicultural heritage committee cut a cake during a Women's History Month celebration on the ship’s mess decks, March 28, 2018. Iwo Jima, homeported in Mayport, Florida, is on a regularly scheduled deployment to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
