In the Four Courts building are the Criminal Court,the Court of Criminal Correction, the Police Courts, theGrand Jury Rooms, the offices of the Circuit and Prose-cuting Attorneys, of the Chief of Police, City Marshal andSheriff. The Central Police Station also has its officehere, and there is a Calaboose in the basement. The DeadAnimal Contractors office is on the Eleventh street side ofthe building, and the Coroners office can be found at thecorner of Eleventh street and Clark avenue. At the corner of Twelfth and Spruce streets is theMorgue, where the bodies of unidentified dead persons areexposed for three days. The Morgue is open day andnight while any body is on view. Behind the Morgue is the gallows used
