Stibnite, also called antimonite, is a sulphide of the element antimony, chemical formula Sb2S3. It is an orthorhombic, lead-grey mineral with a metallic luster. Here displayed is a sample of radiating columnar crystals that are striated over their length. Both more massive, as well as slender crystals are common. Stibnite is mined for the production of antimony, which is used in the electronics industry. Actual height of this sample is 70 mm
