Medical Society, member of the Providence Medi-cal Association, the Medical Improvement Cluband the Rhode Island Medico-Legal Society, also ofHarmony Lodge of Masons, Washington Park Lodgeof Odd Fellows and What Cheer Lodge, AncientOrder United Workmen, being Master of the lastnamed. In politics he is a straight Republican, buthas never held political office. He married, January15, 1896, Miss Emma L. Hayward. gold watch-case and the founder of the Ladd WatchCase Company. Mr. Ladd received his early edu-cation in the Providence schools, and graduatedfrom the Elmwood Grammar School in 1889 andfrom the Providence Bryant & Stratton Business
