Group of four vases ca. 2300–2000 Northwest Anatolian These four vases, which are said to have been found together, are best paralleled by pieces found by Heinrich Schliemann at Troy in a stratigraphic level know as Troy II. The wealth of jewelry and objects from the latest phase, Troy IIg, led Schliemann to believe that he had found the city described by Homer. In reality, this material is datable to about a thousand years before the Trojan Group of four vases 256977
