The Keihin-Tohoku/Negishi Line runs through the cities of Yokohama, Tokyo, and Saitama, for a distance of km ( mi), and is primarily a commuter line with trains stopping every two or three minutes during peak hours. Even with such a tight schedule, we can regularly see freight traffic including tanker cars using the same tracks as the commuter lines. Tourists visiting Yokohama will be best served using the Negishi Line to visit Yokohama Station, Sakuragicho Station, which is the gateway to the Minatomirai waterfront district, and Ishikawacho Station, which is the gateway to Yokohama Chinatown, Yamashita Park, and Motomachi Avenue.
