Jon Hancock, a Marine veteran, hugs his son in Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dec. 11, 2016. Hancock walked across the country from Maryland to California honoring his fallen brother and raising awareness for veterans. It was the first time in over a year that Hancock hadn’t seen his son. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine held a ceremony honoring Hancock’s long trip.
