The power is applied to the bar bymeans of a back gear driving powerhaving a two-speed quick-change geardrive. This is also a recent improve-ment of particular advantage where thesame bar is used to rebore cylindersand valve chamber bushings of varioussizes. The quick change is accom-plished by simply pulling out a slippin, shifting the primary pinion out ofgear and driving by the intermediateshaft.
