Military personnel belonging to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) patrol near the T·chira river, the natural border between Venezuela and Colombia, during military operations for the defense and protection of the border crossing. According to official sources there was a deployment of more than 1,300 soldiers as well as policemen belonging to the different components of the Venezuelan Armed Forces, through an operation whose main objective is to control the illegal roads known as "Trochas" to cross the border and, in this way, reduce crime in the area bordering Colombia.
