Bust of Joseph Paxton, MP, Gardener and Architect, 1803-1865 creator of The Crystal Palace
The original building was created for the 1851 Great Exhibition in Hyde Park. The building was then moved and stood in Crystal Palace Park, Sydenham, South London, UK from 1854-1936. Its demise followed a massive fire but the stone steps, foundations and basements can still be seen in the park.
