Paranthropus boisei skull and head. Illustration of the skull and appearance of the head of a specimen of the extinct hominin Paranthropus boisei. This specimen has the catalogue number KNM-ER 732. It was discovered in 1970 at the Koobi Fora site in Kenya. It is around million years old. It is a female specimen, with a cranial capacity of 500 cubic centimetres. This species has also been known as Australopithecus boisei.
