Outdoor model leg hood for an officer Dutch Kurassiers, ca. 1830 Leg hood worn by Colonel de Gallières, commander of the 9th Ward Kurassiers, Black leather high hood with brown natural leather interior. Top notches, below a metal eye with metal locking. Above a leather lip. Bottom metal pin and metal bar with hole on the other side. For this a leather belt with six holes. On the other side a black metal buckle with a black leather loop. Worn by Colonel de Gallières, wounded in the leg near Leuven on 12 August 1831.
